Today started off relatively normal. Woke up, ate pb&j, debated cleaning, and played some video games. Around 6pm, I decided to to go to Walmart to get the ingredients for the Baked Macaroni and cheese that is my contribution to the Thanksgiving dinner that I am attending.
I got to Walmart just in time to have a small altercation with who I assumed was the Manager on Duty (M.O.D.) at Mickey D's about the double cheeseburger and sweet tea that I ordered. Apparently, the Thanksgiving scam of the year is to order food from McDonalds, step away from the counter, get my friend (I was in Walmart alone) to pick up my food, and then go back to the counter and say that I never got my food. Leaving me (the biggest scam artist ever) with a grand total of 2 double cheeseburgers and 2 large sweet teas. After trying to be polite as possible to the M.O.D., I spent the next 2 and a half hours finding nails, trying on every pair of female boots, renting movies from Redbox, getting the mac and cheese stuff as well as multiple other Thanksgiving food items that were not on my list, and shooting the breeze with one of my book club members.
9 hours later (3am), I am done with the dressing, cornbread, greens, and blueberry cream cheese pie. I have shed a few embarrasing tears over Marley and me and the darn mac and cheese is exactly the same way it was 9 hours ago..... cold and hard with no cheese.
I'm exhausted. Goodnight Mac and Cheese.
Let's hope tomorrow finds you in an oven.
