Too much going on...

So, I am at miller's eating dinner with kelly, meredith, adam, and mike. So many things are going on... Gambling, trivia, random conversations, and talk about the blog-a- day in may challenge. This year is going to be the same, yet different. A serious of new people have joined the contest and we are revising the rules.

Mike and I had a disagreement about whether someone else can post a blog that he has written if he wasn't going to have access to the internet when it needed to be posted. I lost the argument. Ah well. Anyway, the contest is approaching quickly and people are excited. Let the good times roll!

I just set up mobile blogging and i'm trying it out. Let's see if it works.

Will I last this time around?

In May of 2009, Adam, Billy, James, Julia, Kelly, Meghan, and I set out to a accomplish a goal. That goal included consistency, dedication, perseverance, and creativity. There was a whole lot of smack talking...

- My blog is going to be the true story of my incredibly interesting life. And it will sweep the 1st
annual May Bloggy Awards.
You will all weep with the beauty that emerges daily from simple
blog postings on my site.
They will probably turn my entries into a series of movies, each one
grossing progressively more, and making ‘Titanic’ seem more and more like a box office dud.

- Adam -You suck....

....a little encouragement...

- This sounds very enticing indeed. I've been thinking about starting a blog, but then I wonder
who really cares what I write about? But.with this challenge, I will have an immediate
grouping of followers, and you will have to care.

- Woohoo, I'm excited.

- People’s life stories tend to be more interesting than they think. Even the boring days add up
to interesting people. ^_^

and a little fear...

- I’m nervous b/c my life is uninteresting. I’m afraid my blog will reflect that.

.... Overall, everyone was ready to dive in head first. It is time to embark upon the journey for the 2nd time. We could officially now call this an annual event, which is pretty spectacular. It is great to know that not only are you still connected to people that you had a connection with over a year ago, but also that you have created something that is long lasting.

Go here if you have no idea what I am talking about.

I will tell you that no winner was decided last year and a few people are requesting that a 2009 winner be crowned before we start the challenge again. That's fair. I have created a survey for all participants to vote in order to crown a winner. New adjustments will be made for this year so we don't have this situation again. We will create the winner categories up front. This way people can try too hard and hopefully allow me to win.... or at least so that everyone can know what they are being judged on. I think we may also do a viewers choice and that is pretty awesome. 1st piece of business will be to get some followers though~ :( ~ beyond the competition participants.

More info to come... All participants will have to post the rules on their blog on the first day.

I am just as stoked this year as I was last year.... Although, I may need to increase the stokeness so I can last the entire month. Last year, I forgot to blog the day before the competition ended @#%&)@*%$*#$(#$)%(@*$#($)#$*@#$^&*@#$(@.... That how I feel about that.

Here is what I sent to my fellow bloggers...

Dear lovely blogger friends,

Sometimes in life, people make really stupid mistakes. Sometimes in life, people are just stupid. I fall into the first category. In a frenzy of what I would call my life yesterday, I forgot to blog. Seriously 1 day before the end of the competition. So, what can I do to reprieve myself. Can I make 5 blog post today? Can I blog on Saturday before we do whatever judging. My heart is officially broken, and it is in your hands.

Sincerely, Regina

Here is a request from another blogger that needed a favor...

Dear Blogger contestants and esteemed judges:

Tomorrow marks the annual ....retreat at ..... We shall accomplish much regarding student success services, learning outcomes, assess programs and develop new ones at this retreat. Immediately following, I will be traveling to ...., to do some “outside consulting” regarding student success in a beach town and analyze student behaviors on the beach.

Because of this immense pressure and the extreme dedication I hold both to my job and to my blogging, I ask that this be my official request for permission for leave of absence from the blogging world for Thursday, May 28th and Friday, May 29th.

Please, grand council, oh wise ones, let me know at your earliest convenience your decision.

Respectfully, Julia

ps- I do not own a fancy phone that has internet, so that is not an option.

My request was denied and to think... I approved Julia's request. I'm going hard core this year. No sympathy, empathy, or lovey dovey crap... Get ready.. lmbo..

Side Note: Hopefully, my wonderful challenge mates will spare me and leave me in the judging.

Well, I guess that is about it for now... Oh, tell all your friends that Regina is going to tear this mother up.. Count It.... I just learned this phrase about 2 weeks ago.
